The Forbidden Education

educacion-prohibida-pelicula-documental-L-Lt8mvOScreening at The Hub Halifax!
This independent documentary was released in 2012 in Argentina. The film documents diverse alternative education practices and unconventional schools in Latin America and Spain. It has been screened in more than 30 countries and now, for the first time in Canada, The Forbidden Education will be screened at The Hub Halifax.
Education has always been an area of discussion all around the world and in this moment we are in a stage of finding alternative ways of changing the world, of making it a better place for all. For achieving these goals we as human beings need to be creating, to face challenges, to develop skills, but is education in schools helping us to do this? Are we being asked how do we feel? What do we think? What do we want to do? and also… What about peace? As one of the interviewed teachers says “We are all talking about peace, but no one is educating for peace… schools are educating for competitiveness and competitiveness is the start of every war.”
Have you thought about a school based on experiences, nature and arts? Wouldn’t it be a wonderful space completely open to different kind of possibilities?
Well, questions like…
What is education? What is the academy for? Is repeating over and over again the way of learning?
… are some of the ones that are discussed in this film.
Come on Tuesday 12th of November to The Hub Halifax at 6:30pm to watch this extraordinary documentary (in Spanish with English subtitles) and give your opinion on how education is impacting our actions.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to understand a lot approximately this, like you wrote the ebook in it or something.
I feel that you simply can do with a few p.c. to drive the message home a bit, however
instead of that, this is magnificent blog. An excellent read.
    I will certainly be back.
