These murals have helped to uncover hidden talents that some of the members. We are hoping that this arts posting can become a regular feature on the blog, we’ll just have to figure out how to make that happen on the tech side of things.

A committed and talented mix of people showed up on Friday, March 27th to engage in an experiment: Build a Business in a weekend. Halifax Weekend was an initiative organised and coordinated by Patrick Hankinson, who released Tetherberry only weeks ago. Patrick participated in a similar ‘build a business’ event in Ottawa and thought it would be fun to bring the concept to Halifax.

The Hub was excited to sponsor this kind of event that brought together people for a Hub-like experience of their own. About 14 people came together on Friday evening, most unknown…

Just wanted to thank Anna, founder and designer of deux fm for providing a number of lucky ladies with some of her fabulous clothing at such a steal. The sale was a real success and it was fun to do something other than ‘laptop’ working at the hub. There were some great moments during the weekend sale with people selecting choice articles and using one of our meeting rooms as a dressing room. We really hope Anna will inspire those who care deeply about not only the quality and aesthetic of what they produce, but how and…
