An Attack on the Free Circulation of Information

For many people, the only method to get and send information out is by using a Community Access Program site. This is particularly true for homeless youth in our city (talk to Phoenix Youth or your local library) and many of our seniors.

Do you support affordable public internet access and skill training to help people to use this in Nova Scotia? Don’t let this great organization and program disappear. Below you will find links to read more about C@P, recent articles, and how to TAKE ACTION IF YOU CARE.

Just write your comments and remind our elected leaders about this important vision:

The C@P Society is committed to the social, economic, and cultural enhancement of rural communities through the use of ICT. The Society’s mandate recognizes that stronger communities will be built through the ability to capitalize on the power and possibilities of technology.

C@P networks provide access to invaluable ICT infrastructure across the county. Not simply locations for public internet access, but community development incubators, small business supports, adult literacy training centers, communication tools for immigrants, and access points for tourists and travelers. C@P covers a broad spectrum of opportunities and we believe that we have but scratched the surface of opportunities that C@P can make available to communities across this country.

epic. Even though I’m not really from NS this has far reaching implications and I’m totally down with fighting the man and/or at least letting the man I disapprove of his actions.
