“What is a sustainable lifestyle? What will our daily lives become if we agree to change some of our routines? How do we reduce our environmental impact without lowering our living standards” These are some of the questions being asked by the Sustainable Everyday Project in a book called Collaborative Services.
The book explores something close to our hearts here at the Hub. How social innovation and infrastructure for sharing resources (like say office and meeting space) could create not only a more sustainable, but also a more satisfying and joyful life. The lovely book (which we are looking at ordering for our library), contains multiple scenarios of how collective services like car-sharing, tool-sharing and studio-sharing could help spark a revolution in sustainability and lead to exciting new design challenges.
You can order Collaborative Services on-line or download it for free.
