Another sunny day – though considerably cooler than what we’ve been cooking in as of late. And the biggest topic all around town this week has been Bill (as in Hurricane, natch). Bob Dylan sang “you don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows”, and he was right. But with respect to Bob, I think I’ll be paying attention to what the meteorological prognosticators are predicting … there are kayaks involved in this week’s buzz … let’s hope we don’t all need them.
The Hub has been hopping all week – especially on Sunday when we hosted the deux fm trunk show! So many beautiful, beautiful, sustainably made garments in the space, and lots of folks went home with wonderful new things to wear (including yours truly). I was rocking my new deux fm organic cotton skirt during my Hub hosting stint yesterday, which was full of meets and greets, table being re-arranged and repartee (at least some of it witty) being exchanged.
Today some of our members will be transformed from landHubbers to paddlers as they head out on a kayaking trip (which means the Hub will be closing a little early, at five). And there’s a lot happening, Hub-wise, as we head into September. We’ll share samples of the Hub at the Taster next Wednesday(26) from 12 to 8. More music is on the way, in lots of different ways. And we’re talking with lots of folks about lots of things – art and film and food and fashion and fun …
Happy (hopefully not too windy) weekend!
