The latest Washroom Wisdom from the Hub:
Bike lanes were a hot topic in response to “What is Halifax Hungry for?” on the Hub’s washroom blackboard. There was also some serious discussion about how we move this kind of idea into action. Is it working with HRM, joining an association or getting involved in some guerrilla-style pavement painting? In any case it got us all thinking. If you want to get more involved in making our fair city more cyclable, check out:
- The Halifax Cycling Coalition is an organization of concerned citizens dedicated to improving cycling conditions and raising awareness of cycling issues in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
- Petition HRM for more biker friendly options.
- Join the on-line forum at Bicycle Nova Scotia
- Go for a ride with Critical Mass in Halifax, it meets at Victoria Park, on the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street, on the last Friday of every month at 6pm.
You are always welcome to contribute your own thinking to the question of the week – just stop by the Hub and use the facilities
