Hub Halifax Update
The Hub has been open since Februray 2 and the renovations are nearly complete. Both meeting rooms are being used regularly and members are in trying out the flexible workspace.
Some of the groups that have been using the space include: NS Health Protection and Promotion, Nocturne – Art at Night, Envision Halifax, Imagine Bloomfield, Green Party, Planning and Design Centre, Eye Level Gallery, deux fm, Capital District Health Authority, NS Advisory Commission on Aids and more!

Reporters Without Borders – Online Free Expression Day
On March 12 2009, come join Reporters Without Borders in it’s first Online Free Expression Day. The Halifax Regional C@P Association will be hosting a live video conference with Katherine Borlongan, Executive Director of Reporters Sans Frontieres Canada. Come have coffee with us at thehubHALIFAX or join in the Skype video call from your C@P site. The video conversation begins at 10am Atlantic and will be followed by a question and answer period. Talk about Race
The recent election of Barack Obama infused a ground-swell around the world calling for a shift in attitude and social reality around issues of race and racism. Talk about Race is a grass-roots effort of a group of Nova Scotians from various professions, races, backgrounds, and cultures and grew out of conversations started in the summer of 2008 at the ALIA Institute. Solar Nova Scotia Book Launch
The Canadian Solar Home Design Manual Book Launch!
Solar Nova Scotia unveils the new Canadian Solar Home Design Manual with a big event on March 24th at the hub. All are welcome at the press conference and Q&A session from 3:00 to 5:00. Entertainment, refreshments, and food will begin after that until 7:00pm. The new book, hot off the press, will be available for purchase for $30. Read more here.

Halifax Weekend@the hub
Halifax Weekend is an event being held to build an entire business in one weekend with a team of Designers, Marketers, Programmers and Management. The event will be held from March 27th to the 29th at the hub. All members will receive a stake in the business for every 3 hour intervals they spend working on the business over the weekend.
